Team

WELCOME!

The Tenino Motorcycle Drill Team was formed in 1984 in Washington State.  What started as a novelty has changed much over the years.  They are dedicated riders who have fun and enjoy doing their precision drills and maneuvers.  The TEAM is a non-profit organization that promotes motorcycle safety and awareness.  They support other non-profits with fundraising and entertainment plus sponsor an annual scholarship fund.  They believe in Family first, Work Second, then the TEAM.

CAPTAINS LOG

April 24, 2011

There was a taste of Spring in the air.  The bikes were rolling in to the Powder Keg from all points.  Thanks to the crew @ the PK, the Easter Beer Hunt was shaping up to be a dandy. Breakfast was had and poker run cards were drawn.  Kickstands were up @ 11AM.  We headed out on the scenic route to Elma.

It was a glorious day and the air was filled with thunder from our 100+ Harleys.  We rolled into and quickly made a mess of the traffic in Elma.  If they didn’t like us before they really don’t like us now. We make a scene where ever we go. We were parked down each side of main St with a row down the middle.  Quite the sight.  More cards were pulled more stories told. Even found an Easter Beer or 2. We were enjoying the day.

Down the back road to Montesano & on to Raymond.  Traffic was lite and the roads were clear.  With a little(?) traffic control from the TEAM the ride moved along pretty well.  The folks at The made us feel right @ Home.  They even put out Spaghetti with all the fixin’s.  The Sun was out and now we were full.  Is it EAT TO RIDE, RIDE TO EAT or what?? Pushed out @ 2PM.  Don’t forget to unlock your forks! DOH!

The Highway past Pe Ell was wide open and on the Thunder rolled.  Most everyone stayed with the Pack still about a hundred STRONG.  We were heading to the Junction Bar & Grill in Ground Mound.  Now I’m telling you that there was some confusion getting there.  We didn’t take the Centralia Exit and down @ Exit 88 there used to be A & B exits.  Well as the Story went Dave missed the Signs and about 1/2 the Pack for a ride to Maytown and back.  OH WELL.  The rest of us found our way directly to the Junction, where Rex and crew were waiting.  They had everything ready even a NEW faster way for service. More stories and by now a few lies perhaps were being told.  If you didn’t have a poker hand shaping up by now you were in trouble.  Some had missed this stop and just went on to the Emperors’ Palace in Lacey.

When you pack ride and have been enjoying yourself, it gets interesting running down the freeway @ speed.  I’m sure we freaked out at least one or two drivers.  “And the Thunder rolled.”  The Emperors Palace was great and served us well.  It had been awhile since we had ended a Poker Run there.  We made our last pull out of the card bags.  The TEAM made the tallies and delivered the prizes for 1-2-3 and worst hands from each bag.  We threw out some shirts and hats.  The weather was absolutely perfect and a good time was had by all.

I want to thank everyone who came out and enjoyed the day.  Kudos to the Team and their others for helping make this Run one to remember.  Don’t forget your DO-WA-DIDDY tickets on Sale now!
