Issue #2

Hello from the TEAM, and Happy Holidays to come.

Well we just did the “Hoquiam Loggers Playday” last Saturday.  The weather was great and 9 of us had a GREAT show.  Hoquiam has always been a favorite.  We have pretty much rapped up our busy part of our schedule.  We’ve all had some fun, because that is what it’s all about.

The TEAM was proud to present Shane & Syd their Drill Team Patches this spring.  Mark Hubbard is our rookie of the year.  Tracy B makes the shows he can between his work schedule. They are all an asset for the Team.  Gary Young & Brian Miller have taken their leave this year.  There is always a place for past performers of the team.  Spring is around the corner and we are always looking for new members.

How about the 25th DO-WA-DIDDY??  What can we say, except WOW!!  We ate the pig, drank the beer, played the rodeo, we showed our Bikes, we strutted our stuff, did the weenie bite, won some prizes, we camped out and rocked till the wee hours of the morn.  For the first time in recent memory we drank more beer than ever, 74 kegs to be exact.  Problem was we only put 70 in the truck!  Nothing like a midnight run for more kegs @ midnight.  Price will be the same next year $50.  Tickets are available @ ‘The Easter Beer Run” the Sat. before Easter.  We are making plans for next year are you??

The TEAM awarded seven $1000 Scholarships to Tenino students last June.  Hopefully this will help pave the way for their bright future.  This was our 6th year handing out scholarships to local area students.

On a more somber note; it seems as though Cancer has raised its ugly head and hit hard around the South Sound this year.  There are Gator, Deb, Lora, Margaret just to name a few.  Please join us and keep them all in your thoughts & prayers.  Here are some fliers about up coming and on going events.

More good news bad news; Roger Plante (one of the teams’ original members) has a new roof on his garage and a dandy ramp up to his front door.  This all came about after he fell off the roof and shattered his heels.  He also compressed L5 in his back.  There is nothing that a few months in a Wheelchair and some loving help from wife Debbie won’t fix.  There is an article in the Nisqually Valley News this week.

The TEAM Store is soon to go online.  We have t-shirts, Sweatshirts and Drill Team memorabilia.

Ride Free and we will catch you ……later.
